SWEAT, JO ANNE SHORTER - age 53 of Knoxville,TN native of Arlington, Virginia, passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church and an employee of Shannondale Nursing Home. Jo Anne was preceded in death by her brother, William SHORTER. She is survived by her husband, Michael "Mike" Sweat of Knoxville, TN; parents, Clifford and Audrey SHORTER of Annapolis, Maryland; sister and brother-in-law, Susan Quinn and husband Philip Johnson of Baltimore, Maryland; nieces, Crystal SHORTER of Dunkirk, Maryland and Melissa Quinn of New York City, New York; nephew, Brian Quinn of Laurel, Maryland. The family will receive friends 6-7:00 P.M. Thursday at Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church followed by a 7:00 P.M. funeral service with the Rev. Ron Bright officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be made to Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church, 219 Gallagher View Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919.
