I have been looking for My Grandfather on the 1930 Census of Alabama without success. I know he was living in Birmingham because of a city directory I found with his name listed and where he lived, also my dad was born in 1930 but later in the year. My father and grandfather are both deceased.

Is it possible that he didn't make the census for that year? Is this a common problem where people are missed.
