Looking for natural mother.

I was born Robert Anthony Green, 11 November 1960 at Grace Hospital, Toronto, to Ericka Jean Green, 13 years of age. She had been residing at the Bethany Home/Salvation Army Home for unwed mothers at 450 Pape Ave. This is the address provided on my official Statement of Birth. The attending doctor noted was a Dr. Robert.

I have contacted the Salvation Army and they tell me they have no record at either the home or the hospital, I find this a bit strange.

I have been in contact with a woman who lived at the home in 1969 and she told me that when the girls entered the home they were given other names. Also, the girls signed documents of consent for medical treatment, so they were lead to believe. It seems that these documents were to give up he rights to the children.

Anyone with any information, please respond.

Hi. My father and his twin brother were supposedly born December 6, 1955. Dates could have been fudged. They are tall 6'8", dark hair, hazel eyes. They were adopted by my grandparents, Dr. Stephen and Agnes Vassalotti, Mayfair, Northeast Philadelphia, PA. I would love to find his birth family if possible. My grandfather was an obstetrician.

Thank you so much for even this info. The story is that she was left on the doorstep but we think that was a cover up as the other story is she is of Native blood. She certainly looked like it as did her children, including my father.

Interesting that Andrew and Kagthuleen Alexona(?) Ross had a daughter, Bessie Fay, born 20 June 1899. This would seem to confirm the adoption theory, but records, if they exist will be sparse, as most adoptions were an informal arrangement.

They also had a daughter named Daisy Fay born 27 September 1904.

Melba Katherine Crawford
B:1899 in Ontario, Canada is my grandmother on my father's side. The family story is that she was adopted as a baby by Katherine Crawford (nee Ross) and Crawford. My own father told me that she was of native Canadian blood, perhaps taken from a reservation but we have no proof. Her only living daughter is not able to remember but once told me that she was told she was of spanish blood. Does anyone know how to search adoption records? I can not find birth info on Melba K. Crawford.

Any help at all would be great.

I am trying to find any information I can find on my great great grandfather Sherman Pinkham. He was adopted out of Canada so his birth name was Sherman Jordan. I think he came over on the Yarmouth. I found an S Jordan listed on a passenger list around the time he would have been 18, which is what my great uncle tells me is that he came over as a teenager when his parents died, but I had always thought he had come over as a younger child. If anyone has any information even a tiny string of info you think might be helpful, I would sure appreciate it. I know my great grandmother would love to know more about her father before she dies. She is 95 and still kicking away and taking no sass from no one. Thank you.

My great grandfather was Antonio who had a brother Louis and their father was Louis. This from my mother's cousin's web site: www.rjcote.com

Louis Phillip LaPerriere and Clara Lambert had the following 7 children: Leonie, Louis Phillip, Augustine, Valentine, Octavie, Antonia , and Antonio (Feb 20, 1887).
Clara Lambert died on Jan 26, 1906. Louis Phillip remarried on Jun 2, 1906 to Evalina Pellerin.

If you have a family member that gave up a baby in Saskatoon,please read on.I was born in 1964, but the adoption was finalized in 1965 because of my medical problems. Most of my bio family still lives near the family farm. Some have moved to Meota,Eston,etc.

Hopefully the request for information will contain everything you want and more.Do you know who handled the adoption eg..children's aid,lawyers???You might try to approuch them.
Any idea what kind of business they owned? I live in Lambton county so if you need anything looked up please let me know. The Sarnia area is fairly small the local paper here is called the Sarnia Observer if you ever wanted to place an ad in it.

We do know now that David was adopted by a family in the Lambton County area and this families father owned his own company - they had 2 daughters and an adopted son. David's adoption was finalized in 1951.

A few questions for you ...
Does your birth certificate have your birth or "adopted name" on it? if it has your birth name apply for a long form certificate (it contains more info)if it has your "adopted name" try http://www.mcss.gov.on.ca/mcss/english/pillars/community/que...

How do you know it was illegal perhaps it was a private adoption? Sometimes people tell you things so you will stop looking.
Do you know the hospital you were born at? Have you contacted them for info?
How did you find out about your siblings do you know their names or birthdates/locations.
There are people who will assist you but need some info to go on.
