Francine,
Please contact me direct at rtshawhan@aol.com. I too am a descendant of Simon/Seymore Andry and have an extensive amount of info to share with you. Simon, 1754-1813, was born in New Orleans, the illegitimate son of Simon Andry and Charlotte Huralt/Heraul. His mother took him to the Mobile area in about 1760 where he eventually became a prominent plantation owner.

attempting to find the correct prounciation of the name. Some parts of the country pronounce it different. I met some people in France and they said its a common name in France and he and his friends said they prounce it as Andre'. My great grandfather was a european name Chastang from france. My Great grand mother was Virgina Andry from New Orleans or the area of French and Indian descent. She Appeared to be of Indian complexion.
