I am related to Rebecca (Warford) Lane and her children, A. R.(Rice?) Lane, Nancy (Lane)Beaman, Mary (Lane) Roberts, William Lane, Amanda (Lane) Paul. Rebecca's husband James B. Lane died during the Civil War(?)
Would appreciate hearing from others who may have information.

i,too,am searching for info on george harve lane who was married to melcena(hensley)lane. they were on the 1870 federal census for pulaski county in missouri(in cullen township). they had son, morgan lilburn lane, in 1872. possibly, amanda and jesse(dates ??). they migrated to ozark county(around udall, mo.) george served in 11th union mo. cav. from 1861-65. george died in 1878 and melcena married a robert poe.
any prior info as to who georges' brothers, sisters,and mother and father would be appreaciated.

I know that the Ira Lane that I am familiar with is not the one that is your father but I can"t help but think there may be some connection as I have been unable to trace his history.
Ira Guy Lane was my grandfather. He originated out of Illinois as far as I know. He in fact is buried in Walkers
grove cemetery in Easto Il. His father was jordan
robert (Jerd) Lane. He was born on 25 March 1886. I do not know where. Ira, My grand father was born 19 Feb 1878. He married Mary Ellen Munsch. They moved to northern Minnesota sometime before 1912. I am trying to trace this family back but I,ve had no luck beyond this ggrandparent
