I am interested in MAYs of Howell county, MO
My great-grandmother, Myrtle Evelyn MAY married a Shelton, and lived in Howell co., MO most of her life. Her father was William Linden MAY, born in Macon Co., MO
I wondered if there could be a family connection between your MAYs and mine, since my gr-grandmother MAY moved from Macon Co. to HOWELL about 1908, perhaps she was related someone there?

The May family you have mentioned is not related to my branch, as far as I can tell.
Interesting though is the story of a cousin on my Arnold side of the family, Bill Ray Arnold.
His maternal g.ma, Laura Pet May. Her parents; James K. Polk May & Mary Lyell. Her g.parents George & Lucinda May.
Bills paternal G.ma, Mary Caroline Stacy. Her mom's maiden name was Bones, they came from Kentucky.
I have a zerox picture of the "May Boys" which I believe he told me were Laura's Brothers. Let me know if this fits.

His Father, Jesse May, Jr. & Mother, Charlotte Charity Benge were married in Hendix Co. Indiana 1832.
Hope this helps!
