I would like to trace my ancestry back to Ambroise de Loré b 1390 near Mayenne Pays de la Loire France.. My family history was lost when my grandfather aged 20 escaped Paris after the Seige in 1870. His name was Louis Napoleon (de) Loré and his brother was Prospere, both married in Dublin. I would like to hear from any Loré with an early French connection.

Grandfather William Henry Lore was traced back to a Lor (DeLore)and further back to a DeTreget DeLor. I didn't do the tracing, but will gladly share what I have with you, if it is the same Lore. Grandfather lived in a french settlement in Missouri. Any help?

Sabrina, did not do the research personally, but am related to Louis Clement DeTreget DeLor of Carondolet (also known as St. Louis, MO) and later of Old Mines, MO. Louis Clement married and had Pierre De Lor, who married and had John (Jean) Lore, who had Peter A. (my great grandfather). Does this sound like maybe we are connected? Most of my line seems to have stayed around the Missouri area, but I have been told that an Edward Lore went to Colorado...unknown when, but after 1835.
