Wotton, Joseph
Joseph Wotton of Falmouth died Tuesday, July 26th at his home. He was 84.
Born in Northbridge, he had recently moved to his own apartment at Bridgeport in Falmouth.
Mr. Wotton was a participant in the Overnights of Hospitality program and enjoyed sharing his story with volunteers from the churches where he stayed.
He served in the US Army during World War II and later in the Air Force during the Korean War. He left the Air Force in 1953 as a staff sergeant.
He was a watchmaker and enjoyed travel in Arizona and New York as well as throughout Massachusetts.He also enjoyed walking, drawing, and playing bingo, and he was a Red Sox fan.
A memorial service was held Friday and a graveside service was held Monday August 1, 2005 in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Unfortunately, I was notified by the Falmouth Police Dept of Joes death after the services were over. I found out Wed 8/2/05. Trying to locate my Aunts Lucy (wotton) Egan, last known whereabouts were Eugene OR, and Rita (Wotton)York , last known wherabouts were Cleaveland Ohio. John was my father who passed away in May of 1993.
