I'm looking for information on the Work families of Washington Co, PA. I've read through the history books but can't seem to find anything of what I am looking for.

Patrick Lindsey came from Co Down, IR with his son Samuel.

Samuel Lindsey married Martha Work c. 1815 I believe in Washington Co, PA. Their first 3 children (Robert, John, William) were all born there. They moved to Guernsey Co, OH c 1821 where the rest of their children were born.

Martha Work was born 10 May 1794 and died 02 Jul 1877. In the 1870 census, she does not say that her parents were of foreign birth.

George Work (Rev War), even though he seems to be of the right age, did not have a child named Martha. He was also born in Ireland, so there are two factors that rule him out.

The person I would like to find information on is John Work who lived in Chartiers, Washington, Pennsylvania in 1800. He had 3 daughters under ten years of age so this seems more like a match at this time. John Work lived to be 90-100 per the 1830 census and is still in Chartiers. At this time, I have no further information about him or any of his children.
