WE are Family of Enoch Work, son of Hopkins Work who settled in Dunlap, California. Stopped briefly in Visalia before homesteading here in 1873.

This family is a branch of the Joseph Work who settled in Tennessee

Your ancestor Joseph and mine, Jacob Work, were brothers settling from Ireland in 1790's in Sullivan and then Roane Co. TN. Joseph died in early 1820's and his many sons moved to Missouri by way of KY, then some to CA and IO. My line is Jacob Work, f/o Fleming Work, f/o Jacob Alexander Work, f/o William Alexander Work, f/o Ellis Clyde Work, f/o Ellis Gary Work,Sr., f/o Michael Lynn Work (me). I have much on your line and mine after 24 years research. After Enoch, how are you related.

I am the wife of Larry Work, Margaret P. McFarlane married 3-6-1948. Larry is the second son of Orville, who is a son of Enoch.
Orville Work Passed away in 1969 in Dunlap, California
Larry has a son Lonnie Orville Work.
Orville Work was born in Dunlap 3-30-1900,
Lonnie Orville Work was born in Dinuba, California 9-6-1951
Lonnie Work has 2 children: Ryan Jackson Work, Kelly Kathline
Work and Morgan Jackson Work
Larry Orval Work passed away Jan. 6, 1999 in Fresno, California

Enoch Work was my Husband Grandfather. His father was Orville Work

The family came to California about 1859 via Visalia, Calif.

Enochs father was Hopkins Work

Finally settled in Dunlap, California. Hopkins homesteaded and then turn over land to Enoch on Millcreek. Third white family in area.

I can give you most of the family from Enoch to the present date. Larry Work, son of Orville Work (son of Enoch) passed away in Dunlap 01/06/1999
