I don't know enough about the family to know if we have a connection. All I know is Charity West married John Parker. They were both supposed to have been born in Pa.. They married in Baltimore,MD, moved to Ohio sometime after 1790. Lived first in Jefferson county,then in Harrison County where John died in 1844 and Charity died in 1849. I don't really know who Charity's father is.

I am improving so want to tell you that your Nathaniel b. 1783 does make connection with my William West b. 1775/79 sons of Morris West,Sr. b. 1752 in Maryland. Nathaniel is DNA# W69. Married Mary "Polly" Cahill b. March 1794 Penn. d. 18 Nov. 1874 Jackson Co. Ohio.

I read your query about the West line. Where did you find the middle name of William West 1775/79 as being Nelson? He was m. to Sarah Boyd. Do you know who William's parents are? I have Morris West, Sr. as father but no mother. I also have Morris,Sr. parents as Jonathan West b. 1715 Warwick, Bucks Co. Pa. and Ruth Pemberton b. 1719 Bucks Co. Pa. I am looking for proof that they were Wm. parents.

What data are you looking for on William Nelson West. I have not been able to develop his line like I would like to. I am needing his children's names. I have Thomas b. 1800 Ohio m. Eliza Tipton. I have a family of 11 children for them and have been able to develop that family.

Hello, try doing a West DNA search on the internet, you should be able to pull up the results. If I knew how to send that page to you, I would. Try to as it has a lot of West DNA results. It is very long and takes a few minutes to totally open the page. Hope this helps. William Nelson West born 1775 with a son John C. West has been proven to my line per a cousin doing family research. We are definitely talking about 2 different families. I have a printout of the West Family DNA Project. My group is 11 where you say your group is 18. Group 11 is on page 9 of my printout. Your William was b. either Va. or N.C. mine was b. either Md. or Pa.

Thanks, so much for the kind words. I have pretty much recovered from the surgery, but, still do not have a lot of strength or stamina. I get tired so quickly. I wanted to at least get back with you before I have more surgery on my hands[carpel tunnel].

Now for more interesting stuff. lol I have quite a bit on Nathaniel West and Mary "Polly" Cahill. I have a list of 8 children with an unknown female. If, you can let me know what you are looking for I will be glad to see if I have anything. I have Joshua Sheridan and Elizabeth West with 10 children with birth years and state born, but that is all. Do you have marriages, birth dates and if any children, there names etc. I have Joshua and Elizabeth was m. 31 Aug. 1837 in Logan co. Ill. In looking further I see I have Joshua M. b. 1852 m. Elizabeth "Betsy" ----? Mother Elizabeth was living with them.
