These two young men were cousins of my grandmother, Pearl Olene Boles Miller. They were related through the Hunt side of her family.

Efton Wells is in my daughter-in-law's family. He was married to Ruby Chrane. Robert E. Wells was their son. Judith Gay Wells Herman is my daughter-in-law's mother. She married James Yancy Herman. His great grandfather is Henry (Hank) Herman, married to I.M. Blackwell.

Crafton Wells was my paternal grandfather. I never met him due to the fact that he died in the Texas City Explosion when my dad was 7. If anyone has any information to share about him, I would appreciate it.

Hello, I just have a bare-bones sort of info. about him, given through letters to one of my relatives who was older. Crafton and Efton were 2 of 10 children to Lon Wells and Margaret Ann Hunt. Margaret was the daughter of Samuel Crafton Hunt and Sallie Permilia Wyatt. My great-grandmother was another daughter of Samuel & Sallie named Lucy Malvanie Hunt. There were 4 other children: Mattie, Mary, Benjamin, and William. I don't know any personal info. like, what was he like. I believe some of the Wells and Hunts are buried in a little country cemetary outside of Brownwood, TX called "Jenkins Springs". I went there w/my mother some yrs ago and we took pictures near her grandmother's grave. Most of the graves are of relatives of hers.

Hi, I'd like to know more about Efton Wells and the Chranes. I have the names of Efton's siblings, but that's all. I know Benjamin Franklin Hunt married a Laura Chrane and they had 7 children. Have the names, if you want them. Do you know if Ruby Chrane was a sister to Laura? Do you have any Hunt family info.? I believe that Efton and Crafton were living at some time in their youth around Brownwood, TX.

Thank you! That's a big help. My grandmother (Crafton's wife) was cremated and she wanted to be buried with him and I had no idea where his grave was.

I do have information on Efton Wells. He is in my daughter-in-laws' family, which I am researching for her family. They were in Brownwood.
The above link will show you what I have regarding them so far. If I can be of help later, please let me know. Click on siblings under Efton's name if they do not show.I would like to have any information you have if it is not duplication after viewing the link. Thank you.
