I am searching for my birth grandfarther. He was stationed somewhere in SC in 1945. My grandmother's name was Exidell. I am not sure what her last name was at the time. Her maiden name was Wilson. All she ever told my mom was that her dad's name was James Earl Wells. She was born Jan 09 1946. Thank you for any help. Sandra Chance

I'm not related, but if you can get a copy of your grandmothers birth certificate, it will show her parents names. Also check the social security database and if you know what cemetary they are buried in check their records. Good luck !

I am still searching for any info on James Earl Wells that would have been born around 1920 in Florida. He would of been stationed in SC in late 1944 early 1945. He knew my grandmother was pregnant and wanted her to stay with him but she couldn't and she went back to craven co. NC and had my mom. I don't know which branch of service he was in.
