Yes I do mention Elizabeth Crew and William Walls who I believe are the founders of the Walls Family of Delaware. There is a 1759 deposition by Elizabeth where she states that she married William Walls the same day that her father married (as his 2nd wife) Annabelle Harvey, the widow of Richard Harvey, but the date is not mentioned. My calculation is that this was about 1708 and in Sussex Co. Elizabeth’s father John Crew first bought land (with his step-father Robert Hignut/Hignutt/Hignett) in Sussex Co. in 1679. John, his mother and his step father had been living in Somerset Co., Maryland. John Crew is listed in the 1693 Tax List of Sussex Co. Elizabeth was born about 1692/1694 so she was born in Sussex Co. Elizabeth’s mother was Elizabeth Depree (Depray/Dupree/Dupre/du Pre’). I don’t cover the Depree family in my book but there is a good deal of information on them in F. Edward Wright's, "Colonial Families of Delaware," Vol. 3, Westminster, MD: Willow Bend Books, 2000. William Walls died before 1723 and Elizabeth subsequently married John Rust and after he died she married Richard Cooper.
I would certainly appreciate it if you pass on the word to other interested parties that the book will soon be out. I hope you find the book worthwhile. Thanks.
