Dear Cousins All:

Over 20 years I have been collecting Genealogy information in the United States and Sweden. Have done extensive work at the Library of Congress, the National Archives and the Daughters of the American Revolution all in Washington DC. My goal is to document all 40,000 Utters that have carried the Utter name in the United States since 21 May 1654. This date refers to Nicholas Mattson Utter a Swedish Soldier that landed that date in New Sweden which is now Wilington, Delaware. Will be glad to share what I have found for any information that you have.

He was my wife's birth father and also used the name DeLaneo. As far as we know, she is the only living offspring but he fathered Paticia Utter with Maridell Utter born 3-19-1946 or 1947 who may also be living and married under a different name.

He also married Kathryn Utter in the Spring of 1969 in San Jose, CA. Went to Florida in late 1969. Any info @ him or his offspring, living or dead, would be appreciated.

Robert E Utter used the name DeLaneo. My late husband, Robert Webb DeLaneo was Robert E Utters' son. I have two sons, Robert, Jr and Mark.

I've just found an Utter in mt line. Joanna Utter, b. ca 1757. likely in Amenia, Dutchess Co., NY. Daughter of Abraham Jr. and Sarah. Joanna married Martin Sleezer, a German Hessian soldier who stayd in the USA after the Revolutionary War, on 1/20/1785 in Amenia. Died 4/6/1845 in Providence, Saratoga Co. NY. 6 children - I have a list of them.
