If your Treu ancestors attended St. Martini Kirche, in Lesum, Hannover (Germany), or if they lived in one of the many towns included in the church's parish, anytime prior to World War II, you may be eligible to join the new Lesum-Area Project. Please contact me at: vkarvoski@msn.com for details. Thank you.

I have an ancestor named Amelie Treu, parents Joseph and Catherine who immigrated from Hanover in 1853 and 1854 then settled in Wabaunsee Co. Kansas not sure what religion they were but alot of my German ancestors were Lutheran. Amelie married John L. Kraus, my Kraus line is from Germany also. Where do we go from here? thanks, Lorna Millward
