BOERNE, Texas -- Beatrice Todd, 91, died Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at Town and County Manor, in Boerne.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Columbus City Cemetery in Columbus City. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Beatrice was born on November 9, 1909, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of John and Annie Duran Fowler. She married Horace Todd Sr. on April 25, 1930, in Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1988.

She had been a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Oskaloosa.

She was a matron for the former Julia Elizabeth Home for Widows in Muscatine for many years.

Survivors include her son, Horace Todd Jr. of Boerne; one sister, Helen Todd of Columbus Junction; and one brother, Ralph Fowler of Floresville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1988; two sons, Bobby Lee Todd and Elmer 'Tony' Todd; one sister, Isabelle Gabriel; and one brother, George Fowler.

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Anna Lavern Todd, 84, of Muscatine, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at Lutheran Homes in Muscatine.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Casketbearers are Steven Todd, Brandon Todd, Anthony Todd, Andrew Todd, Glen H. Saddoris and Leroy Saddoris.

Mrs. Todd was born June 15, 1923, in Douglas County, Mo., the daughter of George Harrison Carroll and Ethel Clone Hutchinson Cole.

She married Lawrence Harding Todd on July 12, 1938, at Seymour, Webster County, Mo.

She worked as a nurse's aide at the former Bellevue Hospital and Nursing Home and for many years at the Dairy Queen on Park Avenue before retirement.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and a past member of the Women of the Moose.

She enjoyed embroidering and making quilts.

She is survived by four sons, Tommy C., Harold G. and wife, Eileen, Billy L. and wife, Sue, all of Muscatine and Vann H. and wife, Pat, of Verona, Mo.; a daughter, Dorothy I. Saddoris and husband, Glen H., of Eliza; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Cole, and wife, Delores, of Muscatine; three sisters, Mary Jo Denner of Marshfield, Mo., Lila Wright of Norwood, Mo. and Jewel Smith of Montana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister; a brother; a sister-in-law; and three brothers-in-law.

COLUMBUS CITY, Iowa - Helen J. Todd, 88, of Columbus City, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction, following an extended illness.

The Revs. Cathy Whitlatch and Larry Rath will officiate. Internment will follow at the Columbus City Cemetery.

The Cremation Society of Eastern, Central and Western Iowa is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Todd was born Nov. 17, 1918, in Oskaloosa, to John and Anna (Dunn) Fowler.

She married Rex B. Todd Feb. 29, 1936. He died Jan. 17, 1986.

She was a member of the Columbus City Methodist Church. She worked at Owens Brush and was a day care provider for many years. She liked to cook, was a great seamstress, enjoyed picking strawberries and most of all, loved the time spent with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Jones and Christine (Bill) Hedrick, both of Columbus City; two sons, Rexford (Cheryl) Todd of Columbus City and Ernie (Becky) Todd of Iowa City; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Fowler of Floresville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 11 brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Burdette Jones.

MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Carolyn ‘Carrie’ M. Todd, 37, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2008 at Unity Hospital.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gary McManus will officiate. Following the services a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church. Private family burial will be held at a later date in Illinois City Cemetery .

Carolyn Marie Todd was born on November 7, 1970 in Karamursel, Turkey, the daughter of Craig and Christene Campbell Newholm. On May 31, 1997, Carolyn was united in marriage to Anthony Todd in Muscatine.

Carolyn worked as the music director for the Trinity Episcopal Church and as a substitute para-educator for the Muscatine Community School District. She was a Girl Scout Leader and a service director for the Girl Scouts.

She enjoyed singing, scrapbooking, camping and spending time with her family.

Carolyn will be deeply missed by her husband, Anthony Todd of Muscatine; two daughters Allison Christene and Amie Louise Todd, both of Muscatine; her mother, Christene Hurlbert and her husband, Ron, of Williamsburg; her father, Craig Newholm and his wife, Lois of Marion; one brother, Cayle Campbell and his wife, Sandra of Marion; one step brother, Trevor Hurlbert of Cedar Rapids; one step-sister, Crystal Hurlbert of San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Elaine Campbell and Phyllis Newholm

MUSCATINE, Iowa –- Marie Jean Todd, 83, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at her home.
Memorial service will be 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2009, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice Program.
Marie was born on March 11, 1925, in Muscatine, the daughter of Ernest and Alma Edgington Allen. Her first marriage was to Gilbert Edwards. She later married Elmer ‘Tony’ Todd. Both husbands preceded her in death.
She retired from C.D.S. in Wilton.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
She loved to crochet, play solitaire, and do crossword puzzles. She also loved her family and her beloved pet, Bambi.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Edwards and wife, Andrea, of Muscatine, and Jeff Edwards and wife, Kim, of Bullhead, Arizona; one daughter, Jacqueline Edwards and husband, Shawn Morehead, of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Travis, Kerrie and husband Mike, Jason, Kara, Johnnie Michael, and Joshua and wife Cassie; six great-grandchildren, Alysha, Danyelle, Chrystopher, Kelsey, Isiah, and Alysia; seven great great-grandchildren, Kailey, Wyatt, Cody, Dawson, David, Andre, Keaton; and one sister, Patty of Reno, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husband, four brothers, Dale, Vernon, Richard, and Bobby, and three sisters, Donna, Dorothy, and Evelyn.

COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - Martha Todd Thode, 92, of Columbus Junction, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.

Pastor Cathy Whitlatch will officiate. Casketbearers will be Max Todd, Gary Todd, Richard Todd, Michael Todd, Brenda Deters, Robert Todd, Teresa Swartzendruber. A memorial has been established for the Colonial Manor Care Center in Martha's name.

Martha Emily Davis was born Oct. 30, 1914, in Cotter, the daughter of Humphrey and Mable McBride Davis. On Dec. 16, 1933 Martha was united in marriage to Lonnie Todd in Cottter. He preceded her in death in 1966. In July 1972 Martha married Arles Thode in Davenport.

She was a farm wife for many years and had worked at Hansen Hardware and later at K-B Clothing in Davenport, retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Cotter Presbyterian Church and a past member of the Friendly Neighbors Club of the Columbus Junction community. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family.

Thode will be dearly missed by her sons, Max Todd and wife, Marie of Las Vegas, Nev., Gary Todd and wife, Karen of Columbus Junction and Richard Todd and wife, Roberta of Elkhorn, Neb.; five grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lonnie in 1966, her husband, Arles in 1976; two grandchildren; her brother, John Harold Davis; and her sister, Mary Hutch.
