I'm looking for help finding the parents of my g,g,grandfather James Monroe Todd of Choctaw County Alabama. The 1880 census says He (whoever he is) was born in Georgia and She (whoever she is) was born in South Carolina. Any info on how to get around this road-block would be great! Thanks!

My gggrandfather is James Monroe Todd born in Bertie County,NC in 1824 and died in Crockett County,TN in 1895. He was a Civil War soldier. His father is Aquilla Todd who was born in Bertie Cty,NC in 1797 and died in Alamo,TN in 1871. Don't know if they are related.
