I am descended from the Lincolnshire tocks - William born c1750 married Lucy
Hales in 1774
Bracebridge Lincs. Their son Samuel married Elizabeth unknown and had Thomas in 1812 in
Winterton Lincs (married Ann Thomas). The rumour is that the family were originally weavers who came from the netherlands and they have been in the
Winterton area of Lincolnshire / Humberside for nearly 300 years. My gr gr grandad Tom
Tock born 1851 (son of above Thomas), married
Hannah Fenwick, said that a loom that was used by his ancestors is now in the
London Museum of Natural History. I can't seem to get the Tocks linked in late 1790s / early 1800s - there are alot of local tocks - west halton, thealby, crowle, frodingham, gunhouses - I'm sure thay must be linked somehow and was wondering if anyone could help me. Any information gratefully received. Jackie
