I'm wondering if any of you know if there is a family Crest for Timm? Did they do that in Germany back then? I'm not really sure if family crests were only done in certain time periods, or geographical locations,etc. I am trying to find one for the Timm family of Germany if there is one.

Hi there.

There are two crests I have seen. One is for the German Timms and the other for the English Timms. The German one is (supposedly) a dancing black bear facing to the left on a field of yellow.

my husbands grandmothers maiden name is Timm. we have been looking for information on the family. Would you please tell us where we could find a picture of the family crest?

Have you tried "googling" the Timm family crest?
