Did John/Johann's brother, Frederick, come to the US, too?

Thanks for the information from your grandfather. I know my great grandfather, Fred D. (I don't think he was a Frederick and his son (my grandfather) was named Fred William and my uncle was Fred William, Jr.) moved out to Washington, but I hadn't heard anything about his younger brother, Frank, moving out there, too. I know that Eunice was very interested in finding out about Frank, so I will pass this information on to her. Frank must have been the postmaster because Fred D. had an orchard when he lived in Peach, WA and then when he moved to Spokane, he did pruning and other such activities to earn his living.

I wish that I had talked to my grandfather more about his family when he was alive. He died when I was around 8 years old and the only family member I remember him talking about was his mother. He always said that she was a "full blooded Indian"--I think he said either Cherokee or Apache, but knowing "Bobo" (grampa), it was Apache. He had a great interest in anything Native American and my mom told me he had quite a collection of Indian artifacts, but at one point had stored them at his sister Minnie's home and she got tired of storing them and sold them. Bobo was furious! BUT, his mother was not Cherokee or Apache or what we would consider Native American! She came from Mexico. I don't think he was lying to deceive people, I just think he totally romanticized her into being Native American--though she certainly could have been an Aztec, Incan, Mayan--whichever group was from Mexico. Bobo never talked about his dad that I recall and I don't remember my mom ever talking her grandfather. I could kick myself for not asking more questions when everyone was still alive!
