Florentina Sonnenberg (maiden name Timm)was my grandmother. She immigrated from Poland to Barhead Alberta in the 1930's. Her mother's maiden name was Balkau. I believe that she only had one sister and at least 5 brothers. Please e-mail if you have any information, I have more details on family in Germany.

My brother, Mark Timm, was born in Barrhead in 1959. My father, Dean Timm and my mother (Audrey) had lived there while my dad worked for a surveying company.
I'm not sure if we are any relation at all.
My grandfather (Paul Timm) moved to Cereal, Alberta in the 1920's from Rostok Germany. He married Lillian Patterson.
They lived in East Coulie, AB just out of Drunheller.
My grandfather passed away in 1978.
My dad passed in 1990. He had one older brother, Max, who lives in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
I currently live in Saskatoon, SK and just recently met a lady and her maiden name was Timm. Small world as she has never met anyone with the same last name and spelling.

Kim, I really don't know very much about the Timm family. My GGrandfather had a sister Minnie Heidel who married into the Timm family in Illinois. I don't have the gentlemans name.
I am up against a wall on this. They did live in West Chicago, Illinois. That's all I know. If they had children don't know.I'm struggling with where the Heidels came from in Germany. I know they came here in 1873. I can trace ggranddads family
but am at a loss with her. Found one of her other sisters in
Rockford, Illinois.

My aunt Johanna - maiden name Balkau, born 1925 - was looking for her aunt for a very long time. This aunt of Balkau family immigrated to Northern America. She was never found. Unfortunately nobody of us knows the name of the woman and the destination.

My ancestors lived in Poland near Pultusk(also called Ostenburg) about 75 km NNE from Warschau in Marianowo, Dozin and Adamowo near the river Narew. The families of Sonnenberg and Timm also lived is this area. I know an daughter of the last teacher of Marianowo Sonnenberg. She lives not far away.
