LENA SNYDER

Lena SNYDER, 84, a modesto resident 22 years, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of Texas and had been a member the Baptist Church. She had been a member of the Oasis Cahpter 80, Order of the Eastern Star, in Ajo, Ariz.
She had owned and operated a gift shop.
Survivors are two sons, H. L. Snyder and Paul D. Snyder, both of Modesto; two grandsons, Robert M. Snyder of Modesto and Paul D. Snyder of San Francisco, and two great-grandchildren.
Private services will be hald tomorrow in the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Acacia Memorial Park.

HERMAN L. SNYDER

Herman Leo Snyder, 74, a Modesto resident for 33 years, died Tuesday in a local hospital after an extended illness.
He was a native of Texas, was a veteran of WWII and was a member of VFW Post 3199.
He leaves a nephew, Robert Snyder of Riverbank.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in
Acacia Memorial Park. Salas Brothers Chapel is handling arrangements.

The last post was five years ago, but if anyone is still interested, Lena was married to Herman L. Snyder who was the postmaster of Ajo, Arizona, when he died in January 1932.
