I am trying to find any information on my great-great grandmother Edith Snipes Howell. The only thing I know about her is she married Robert Paxton Howell. Her possible dates of birth and death are 1831(32,33) - 1906. She might have been born in North Carolina. She raised her family in Anderson, South Carolina. I would like to know the names of her parents, and any information beyond that. Somewhere in the family line there is a Cherokee connection and I am trying to find information on that also.

She and Robert Howell had numerous children, the known names are; Andrew Jackson Howell, Hannah Howell (married Jim Bolt), Lucy [Lucyniah] Howell (married Josh Chastain), Henry Howell, Lula Howell, Linnie Howell, William [Willie] Howell, Burt Howell, Vashti Howell (my great grandmother), Addison Howell, and two who died in infancy.

I hope some of this rings a bell with someone.
