Sybil
Shows, 89, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2003. Born in Australia, she moved to the United States with her husband, who worked for North American Aviation, in 1944 and became an American citizen. They settled in
Albuquerque in 1955 where they raised their children. Sybil became an integral part of the bowling community, becoming a member of both the Men's and Women's
Hall of Fame. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John M. Shows and is survived by her three children and their families. A Memorial
Service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at
Queen of
Heaven Parish located at 5311
