My husband is descended from Thomas C. Shay B. 1780 in Cornwall, Pennsylvania. Looking for information on parents and siblings of Thomas.

Our oldest ancestor is William Bennett Shay, Sr. born 1820, who came from PA. The census says he was born in Ireland then another census says he was born in PA. He married a Matilda Jane Chambers - maybe of Chambersburg, PA. They moved to Botetourt County, VA. If this is familiar, please reach me.
