Surnames: Shay, Shea, Walsh, Murphy, Sullivan, McCabe, Brennan, Byrne
Looking for information on a Shay or Shea, likely first name of Catherine but possibly Margaret. Married a man named Walsh in Co. Carlow Ireland about 1800-1810.
They had three sons, Patrick Henry, Michael and James.
Patrick Henry Walsh came to America in the early 1850's and married Bridget Brennan who may have been a nursemaid for his ailing mother.
Michael married a Catherine Murphy in Ireland in the diocese of Leighlin/Kildare and had at least two sons, Matthew (Mathias) and William (Wilhelm).
Nothing is known by our immediate family of James.
The Walsh's were from Cooleyhune/Graigneumanach, Co. Carlow, Ireland.
