I am searching for the parents of William Shay who died in Kingsbury, NY in 1832. He was born in 1749 in CT. He married Lydia Harris in CT. possibly Westmoreland County

William's father was Timothy Shay of Voluntown, Conn who died 1762/63. Upon Timothy's death Samuel Stewart became guardian to Timothy. In 1771, presumably when mother Catherine died, Timothy and Mary asked for John Stewart to be their guardian. Information form "Somewhere in Time" by Renee M. Zamora on freepages.
