died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the
DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 8, 1953 in
Lock Haven, the daughter of the late George S. and Marian
Bauman Brown.
She was a 1971 graduate of
Lock Haven High School and a graduate of
Lock Haven University.
She was employed as a social worker for the Center for Independent
Living of Williamsport before becoming unable to work due to health issues. She was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas A. Shade Jr. of
Lock Haven and Jason M. Shade of Montoursville; two brothers, George S. Brown Jr. of Dunnstown and Robert Young of Hughesville;
six sisters,
Maude Zerby of Jersey Shore, Barbara
McCulley of
Scranton, Terry
Seyler of
Lock Haven,
Sandy Englert of Howard, Dottie Brown of Castanea and Deb
Bolin of
Lock Haven; and two grandsons,
Devin and
Austin Shade.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Shawn and Brandon.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 20, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with Major
Sandy Ammerman officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of services Monday.
