Shade, a native of
Berkeley county and a well-known farmer residing at
Rocky Marsh, on the Shepherdstown road, died at his home on the old
Lemen farm, about four miles from Martinsburg, July 2d, at 8:30 o'clock, as a result of injuries sustained in a runaway accident while going to Martinsburg Saturday afternoon, when his horse became frightened.
Mr. Shade had a number of relatives in the southern part of
Morgan County.
