By any chance do you have any information on Ernst Wilhelm Gustav Schaede that immigrated to the port of New York in 1868 with his brothers and sisters? His father was Freiderick and his mother was Caroline Wilhelmena Pehl/Pahl. I have the descendents from their arrival to the states but am interested in information prior to 1868. Thanks!

Hi! I've hit a stumbling block, and am looking for some help.
I can't go too far back, but maybe you have info
as recent as mine. I'm looking for the ancestors of
William Shade, b. 22 Dec. 06 d. Mar. 1975, (m. Maria Powers 12-8-43)
His father was Thomas Shade (m. Ida ?, date unknown) I think (but am
not positive) he was born in Dec. 1893. I do know that Thomas worked
for the PA Railroad, and lost his arm while working. William's son is William P. Shade,
b. 10/8/47 (he's my father) (However, William P. is not a jr, I believe
my grandfather is William W. That's all I have to go on, he died
only a few months before I was born, so I haven't got any other info.

Do you know about when Christopher was in
West Virginia? I'm trying to find Thomas Shade,
and both could be of the same line somewhere along
the way.

I am interested in Andreas Shade who came over from Germany in 1750 or 1751 on the Ship Anderson. Also do you know of a book written by a Janet Shade from Florida on the Shade family. I would like to find a copy.

Do you know what county in PA that William or his father were born?

My great great grandfather was Robert Shade who married Mary Ashton. Do you know if your Christopher Columbus Shade had a brother by that name. My grandmother knows nothing about him except that his nickname was one-eyed Bob. He was blinded in a childhood accident. He was also from the Berkeley county area.Thanks

Charles Shade was my grandfather who passed away January 16, 1989 he was born on January 31, 1922 his father was Floyd Shade who would have been my great-grandfather to my knowledge they were both born and raised in the Reading-Laureldale area of Berks County, Pa.
I would like to find other links to the family to try and find out where my ancestors originated from and when they came to this country and also where they settled.
