The family name Serna can be found at most libraries as to the origins. Through one search doing studies (research) as a requirement, the name originates in Spain as well as finding this information in the library it will tell you the Coat of Arms and the meaning of it. Anyway through my research, I found a Conquistador named Serna during the time of exploration of the Americas. Our immediate family in EL Paso, Texas had a reunion in 1980 1994 and had 600 of 800 show up. It was great to see Serna's as far away as the New England states to Seattle, Wa (for me at the time).
