My Great-Grandmother was Sarah Elizabeth
Schuman (perhaps
Shuman?) Reed, born March 1841, according to the 1900 Census. She may have been born around
Lehigh County, PA or
Northumberland County. She married John
Butler Reed, ca 1865, and the family lived in the
Bethlehem area. Looking for information on Sarah. She is one of my brick walls (John
Butler Reed being another!!)
Their children were:
James B. Reed, b ca 1865;
Edward
Reed, b ca 1869;
Florence
Reed, b ca 1870, died young;
Anna
Reed, b after 1870, died young;
Isabella
Reed, b 1878, d 1920;
Minerva
Reed, b 1881, d. 1953 (my grandmother).
