Espero que puedan entender en espanol. Solo tengo informacion de que mi abuelo fue Angel Saldana. Su familia estaba radicada en Canovanas en el barrio Cubuy. Tengo informacion de que tenia un hermano llamado Felix Saldana. Mi papa es Daniel Saldana y mis tios son Jose Saldana, Miguel Saldana, Samuel Saldana y Lidia Saldana. Estoy interesado en dos cosas, conocer esa familia de Canovanas y poder tener informacion de mi genealogia en el siglo pasado. Mis tios estan radicados en Rio Grande.

My fathers name was Gertrudis Saldana , his fathers name was Andrez Saldana . My father was born in Dr.Arroyo , Nuevo Leon.( Is this a region or is it a town)My father had brothers named Margarito , and Julio. Julio came to America and was a student at he University of Chicago .
My father married Damiana Hernandez of Fort Worth , Texas

My dad Samuel Garza Saldana was born in a small town in Evensville, Texas near Dallas, Texas in a cover wagon, then they move to Laredo, Texas.

My mother and father then moved to Brownsville, Texas in Cameron, County Texas.

The Saldana's is a very small numbers in the population pool.

All Saldana's are the same family that came from two brothers from Spain.

I am a descendent of Lino Saldana. He was born in Laredo and died in Brownsville. He is buried in the Old Brownsville Cemrtary. Are we related?

I am a descendent of Jose Lino Saldana. He was born in Laredo. He was adoped by Teresa Galan and her husband Jose Manuel Saldana. He died in Cameron County Texas. Are those the same Saldana's that you speak of?

Hi, my name is Milagros Cruz Saldana.
My mothers family is Saldana, her father was Francisco Saldana Rivera, his father was Carlos Saldana and his mother was Agustina Rivera. They had a son Justo, Maria Jose, Juana and Maria Saldana. Lived in Lapas Oeste, Salinas PR in 1910.

The best place to start when building your family tree is to talk to the oldest living relatives. So, my suggestion to you is to break the barrier between yourself and your grandma and ask her to tell you what she knows. Be sure to have a recorder with you so you can play back for yourself whatever she says about her family. If she was born in Spain, her knowledge could be invaluable and you will need that knowledge in order to continue your family tree. Good luck, and please, be sure to share what she tells you!

My name is Emma Conde Rios. According to the information that I have....Maria Teresa Galan was born in Lampazos Nuevo Leon on 1/5/1789. She was baptized 1/25/1789. Her parents were Maria Ignacia Sandoval and Joaquin Galan DOB 1727-DOD 4/5/1808. Maria Ignacia was his second wife. Maria Teresa was married to Rafael Bustamante 11/8/1805 or 8/11/1805. he died leaving the following children: Estanislada Galan Bustamante, Julian Galan Bustamante, Francisco Galan Bustamante. After the death of her husband, it is said, that Teresa had Jose Lino Galan born 2/16/1823 in Laredo, Texas and baptized 2/28/1923 at St. Augustine Church in Laredo. Jose Lino was adopted by her second husband Pedro Manuel Saldana. It is said that Jose Lino's father was an Irishman named Markus or McKeese who was later killed at the battle of San Jacinto. Contact me if you have corrections or if you have additional information to share. Oh by the way....Jose Lino Saldana is also my ancestor.

hi my name is Maria del Pilar Saldana I am a 5th generation Saldana. Jose Lino Saldana was my GGGGGrandfather and he was married to Maria de Jesus Cisneros. Maria Teresa Galan was his mother. Lino and his son were scouts for the Texas Rangers. Teresa Galan was born in Lampazos.

We are descendants Of Jose Lino Saldana. His wife Teresa Galan was born near Lamposos. I do not know anything about the ancesters of Lino. I remember hearing stories that said that Lino was a scout for the Texas Rangers. I have how ever been able to take teresa's family back to the 1500's

My dad was born in Guanajuato, Mexico in 1941. In a small town called San Bernardo, close to San Francisco and León, Guanajuato.

My grandfather, Roberto Saldaña lived in San Bernardo in Guanajuato and married Julia Guerrero Cardiel. They had many children as Andres, Gonzalo, Esperanza, Antonio, Alfredo. My father is Roberto Saldaña Guerrero and he tells me that his great great great grandmother was from Spain and lived in Jalisco before moving to Guanajuato.

Mirta, the only thing I know is that my father's family is a Saldana from Rodriguez Nuevo Leon, raised in Anahuac NL, but from the Lampazos NL area. His father was from Tlatepango Zacatecs. Blas Saldana is my father, Cadelario Saldana is his father. Some of the cousins are in Mexico City. You evidently go back a little further than I have been able.

I am looking for any information on the family of Gil Saldana and Estela Guzman. I believe this line originates in mexico and from there to texas and from texas to california.

Gil and Estela had 6 children that I know of. Their daughter esperanza married Jose Vallejo Navarro.

I have very little information on this line and would appreciate any sort of help thats out there.
