My father's familiy is from Utuado Puerto Rico. His name is Juan A Saldana son of Don Emilio Saldana. Emilio was born in Oct 1900 and is son to Jose Saldana and Grandson to Emiterio Saldana. I have search high and low and have up empty handed. Anyone with information related to saldana dateded back in mid 1800's to 1900 e-mail me.

Since my research of my family i have noticed that most Saldana families found in Puerto Rico are originally related to the Saldana from Utuado, Carolina, Juncos, and Ponce. It would be interesting to know if at one point these different point of origin are in fact related.

HI, my name is Elizabeth Saldana, I don't know to much about my dads family, His mother name is aurelia tamez saldana, which she is from mexico, I know she had a brother named pedro tamez, and married my grandfather Margarito Saldana, which was born in mexico and raised they three children in texas. I know that she died giving birth to her 4th child which died too.

Hi, My mom is Saldana from Puerto Rico. My Saldana family has been in Puerto Rico for generations--My grandfather, Luciano Saldana had several brothers--also Saldana and my Uncle and Aunts are still living there. One of my cousins appranently completed a history search and has a report that our family came from Saldana, Spain, travelled through Portugal to Puerto Rico. I'll have to ask her about it again. My grandfather was born around 1887 and died in 1980 and my mom has some memories about her saldana uncles--mom is 84 yrs. old
