I have just found this website and have also just found a
Ruark in my family tree. Caroline Ann
Ruark was married to John William
Marner and gave birth to a child on the 7th June 1905 called Charles Frederick. He was supposedly the brother of my grandmother though I have a few complications. He was registered
Canning Town (
London,
England) in the County of West
Ham.
My belief is he had 2 other sisters - Dolly and Lillian but it seems my grandmother - Daisy Ethel
Marner - did not share the same father and it states her father was Henry
Marner. Both Henry and John (married to Caroline Ann
Ruark) were Stevadores working in the Victoria Docks.
I think Caroline Ann
Ruark may have been one of 8 children (Sarah, Johnathan,
Hannah, Frederick,
Harriett, Caroline, Helena and Emily) living in
Poplar at the time of the 1881 Census aged 7 years - her father being Corneluis and her mother Caroline.
If anybody can help me establish any further information, I would be glad to hear from them.
