Message recd from Jim Phelps - Samuel Ruark married Cordelia E. Jackson and they had 3 children: James Kimbell Ruark, Franklin Ruark, Walter William Ruark -

LDS (Family Search) has Franklin Nathaniel Ruark b. 8 Oct 1878 married Lucy Naves 2 Jan 1900 in Eureka springs, Carroll Cty, Arkansas
lists father as William Columbia Ruark and mother as Cordelia E. Jackson

We need proof of which is actually correct - I would think marriage records would be obtainable from Arkansas on both of these and prove one way or the other.

I am looking for a William Henry Thomas Roark b. 1875 that came for MO to TX sometime before 1896.
The only information I have on him or his parents/siblings is on the 1910 and 1920 Wichita Co, TX census he stated he and both his parents where born in MO.
He married Sarah Rebecka Ida Berry in Navarro Co., TX 06Sep.1896.
Very possible that he also changed his name from Ruark to Roark, and could be a grandson of this family.

I do have proof that Cordella Jackson Married William C. Ruark in Carroll County Arkansas Countyy Records I sent off for their marriage record. plus her Bible records and the 1880 census of Carroll County, AR. She is my Greatgrandmother. May I send the records to you. I can not prove it but I think that Samuel Ruark was Cordelia's father-in-law. Working on proving that, it is like hitting a brick walll.
please contact me at drmsnow@netins.net Thanks

My husbands great grandmother Sarah Laura Ruark was a daughter of Henry Ruark and Matilda Jane Taylor. Sarah had a brother William Henry Ruark who lived with my husbands grandmother in Mesa, Arizona after his retirement. I have some information from an obituary published in the Phoenix, Arizona newspaper. I cannot find who William Henry Ruark married but it was a women by the last name of Stratton since we have pictures of William Henry and his stepson Harry Stratton. Harry Stratton's wife was named Peggy and they had a son. All this information comes from family sources. Would like anymore information that you may have and I would be happy to share any that I have.
