Greetings! I am looking for information on Elizabeth Ruark b. 1800 in NC, d. 1853 in KY, married to Peyton Randall b. 1795 NC, d. 1875 in KY. They were in KY by 1819 because their daughter Mary C. Randall was born in 1819 in KY (or so I believe, anyway). Mary married Josiah Junior Claunch. Any information that you can give me such as parents, siblings, etc. will be greatly appreciated. This is your cousin Vicki. I've been digging into the Ruark and McHargue lines recently. This is what I have to date. Timothy Ruark and Sarah McHargue were the parents of Elizabeth Ruark Randall/Randolph.
Timothy Ruark, Jr. born>1767 Maryland; death>bef. Feb. 20, 1843 Pulaski Co., KY Timothy's father was Timothy Ruark born>abt. 1745 death>Sept. 05, 1797.
Sarah McHargue, born> 1769 Maryland; death>1841 Pulaski Co., KY. (One source through a message board indicated that they were buried in a Randall Cemetery in Pulaski Co., KY.) Sarah's parents were John McHargue and Mary Magill.
Tim and Sarah had 3 daughters: Elizabeth, Sarah, and Nancy B. Ruark. Sarah was born in 1811 and Nancy in 1818. Sarah married Hazel Phelps. Apparently to census data Nancy never married and lived with her sister and brother-in-law after the death of her father. I have read that Timothy Ruark, Jr. also had a son by another woman or at least he assumed responsibility for the boy after the mother died.

I have pieced this together from various messages that I have read on the board and e-mail information sent to me from another descendant. I have not had time to personally verify information through documents. But I have seen some Pulaski Co., KY land deeds of Tim Ruark posted on the net.

I have an Elizabeth Amanda Ruark b 1844 Smith Co TN. Her father was William Ruark born NC/VA. He did live for a while in Caswell Co NC. He moved to Smith Co TN and married Clarken Gregory. William died in Smith Co Tn, but Clarken Gregory Ruark and her family moved to Spencer Co IN.

I am seeking information on the Ruark familioes of Caswell co, NC. and Green county, KY. Ezekul Ruwark owned land next to the Ignatius Tennison Family. Igantius family moved to Green Co., KY. Sara Tennison married in 1833 Green county, KY to John B. Ruark. Did the Ruark family move also. I would like to find the descendants of Arah and John B. Ruark. This family was in Hart co., KY in 1850. children belevied to be Priscilla, b. 1834 KY; Nancy b. 1837, KY; Henry Ruark b. 1840 Ky; James M.Ruark b. 1846 KY, William ruark b. 1848 KY.
