Hello - I happened to tell a luncheon friend today about my grandpa Johan Oscar
Roos. Then I found your website. Missing was my father,
Alford Roos, son of Johan Oscar
Roos. Dad was born 1 Dec 1882, died 22 Jan 1969. He was Oscar's youngest child. Alford had one son,
Alford Jr, two daughters, Phyllis (deceased), and me,
Lenore Roos Kerr, age
86. I knew
Nell very well; lived with her in 1929 in Tucson, AZ. Knew May well; lived with her and grandma in Taylors
Falls, Minn. in 1941,in the old house Oscar purchased. Dwight was Nell's first-born; Anna was Oscar's wife, born 3 May 1850 in Sweden. Oscar was born 11 Aug 1827, died 14 June 1896. As you no doubt know, Oscar and a friend were the first permanent Swedish settlers in
Minnesota in 1850. There is a monument to them in Scandia, Minn.
