My mother's family was from Bavaria. Her name was Gertrud Roos, born 1932, brothers were Franz, Walter, Albert. Lived in Ansbach.

Hello researchers of the Roos family from Bukovina, Austria. Anyone relate here? My husband's family came from Illischestie, Bukovina, Austria to the US before 1900 entering from Galveston, Texas. As far back as I can get the line goes as follows.

I know the my last name of Roos is of Swedish origin. I have only been able to trace as far back as Finland though. My earliest Roos ancestor was Karl Roos 1848-1934. His father was Tahvo. Ring any bells?
