I am looking for information on the Maria Catharina ROHRBACH who was born 19 Mar 1781 in York Co., PA. The date 16 Oct 1803 is consistently associated with her death. Some researchers have it as her death date, others say that she died after that date. The researchers who have a husband for her say that his name was Peter HAMM.

I am trying to establish the original sources for the above data on Maria Catharina ROHRBACH since I believe that she may be the first wife of my ancestor, Peter HAMM. I say first wife because Peter's wife right now is listed as Catharina BACHMAN. My Peter HAMM lived in Codorus Twp. and the ROHRBACH family apparently did as well. It is my theory that my Peter HAMM married Maria Catharina ROHRBACH, they had two children, Maria Catharina died, Peter married Catharina BACHMAN, and the subsequent children were born. The first two children are as follows.

Samuel HAMM, b. 3 Jan 1802.
Julianna HAMM, b. 29 Aug 1803.

Both of these children were baptised/christened at St. Jacob's (or Stone) Lutheran and Reformed Church, Brodbecks, Codorus Twp., York Co., PA and none of the subsequent children were. Their mother was listed as Catharina in the church records but Maria Catharina ROHRBACH could have gone by her middle name.

I would greatly appreciate any information on this Maria Catharina ROHRBACH so that I can resolve this problem satisfactorily. Thanks very much.
