Looking for info. on Thomas Rank. He came from Pennsylvania sometime between 1830 and 1840 to Benton County, Missouri. He brought with him at least one son, also named Thomas, who was born in Pennsylvania. In the 1840 Benton Co. census, he is listed as living with a female age 30-40 whom I assume was his wife. However, in 1850, she is gone and he is listed as not married. I find a Thomas who shows up consistantly in Lebanon County from 1810-1830, but given the lack of info. on the census ( wife and children's names), I can not connect this Thomas to any parents. Just a note, I also find a stray George Rank who shows up in Benton Co. about the same time as Thomas and also find a George throughout the Lebanon census too. I wondered if perhaps this was his father who may have come to Missouri also. Can anyone help?

George Rank is one of my greatgreat grandfathers. There where two, a father and son both named George Rank. I do not know if G>G>G>George #1 had a brother named Thomas or a son by that name or not.Still searching. I do have a picture of G>G> George #2 with his wife and 10 (or more children) of which one was my grandmothers father.Great -Grandfather Samuel Rank.None of his children are named Thomas.Sorry.Also they all come from the areas you mentioned.But George #2 is buried in Brokensword, Ohio.His wifes name was Christina Frey.Her people came from VA.At that time in Ohio, many people came from all over plus many nationalitys in accordance with the History books about Ohio.Christina Frey was French.
