Mary Elvira "Polly" McKinney was my GGG-Grandmother. She was born about 1771-75 in N.C., Stokes Co., I believe, and died in 1840 in KY. She married John Purdom II and they had seven children. One of them, Marcus "Mark" Purdom was my GG-Grandfather and his second wife, Elizabeth Crews, was my GG-Grandmother. 4) Henry Purdom, m 30 Aug 1808, Surry Co., NC, Aggy Andrews
5) Marcus "Mark" Purdom, b. 14 May 1793, Stokes Co., NC; d 22 April 1871, Boyle Co., KY; m Polly Saters and Elizabeth R. Crews
6) Polly Purdom. m. 8 March 1804, Joseph Saer (Sater?)
7) John Purdom, m 3 Feb 1792, Rutherford Co., NC, Susanna Graham

My information says Elisha and Elijah were twin brothers who came from England in 1800 and by 1820 were in TN. Their grandson was William Howard Purdom 1842 - 1916.
Elisha's sons were John Wiley, and Wilson. They were cousins to Sandy Hamilton Purdom, Nealy W Purdom and William D Purdom who went to Calloway County, KY by 1850.
Nancy Hopkins Purdom was murdered by slaves in 1836.
