I am wondering if any
Prevost family lived in
Sprague, Manitoba which is a French town.
Apparently in the 1930's, 2 brothers Charles
Prevost and George
Prevost, French men, came to Skownan First Nation (aka Waterhen, Mb) and married 2 girls who were related to each other. Madeleine Catcheway, daughter of
Francois Katchiwe and Catherine
Sinclair. And Sarah Jacqueline "ROSA" Catcheway, daughter of
Gaspard Catcheway and
Elise Boucher.
I believe Charlie
Prevost married Sarah Jacqueline "ROSA" Catcheway, and she lost her Treaty rights, as she was a Treaty Indian from Skownan First Nation. They had 2 kids, one boy and one girl born around 1931-1934. Charlie Prevost's wife died, leaving him a widower to raise his boy and girl. They may have lived in Winnipeg or around area.
We are wanting to find descendants of this family...
clongo83@hotmail.comPS. My great grandfather was
Gaspard Catcheway and
Elise Boucher...their son Johnny Catcheway was my grandfather, and was a sister to Sarah Jacqueline "Rosa" Catcheway.
Sincerely,
Cameron Parenteau-Catcheway
