I cannot confirm your request, but my earliest ancestor is Mose Presley of the Carolinas. He did [acording to verbal family history] fight the British during the Revolutionary War as an irregular [such as the troops with the Swamp Fox] and I thought he had applied for a veteran's pension. At this point in time I do not know his wife's name.

John Mallory and Priscilla Presley were married in Tennessee probably after 1847. Sometime between 1847-1860. I have found a family group sheet listing their marriage but no actual official record. The family group sheet states they were both born in Tennessee but doesn't give the date of the marriage.

John was born around 1815 and Priscilla was born around 1829. This is supposedly John's second marriage. He was first married to Elizabeth Isenburg on June 22, 1841 in Hawkins County, Tennessee.

I am assuming that the second marriage to Priscilla also took place in Hawkins County, or in Hancock County where they are found in the 1860 Census. Thank you for your help.- Jacob

Her maiden name is Fox. She first married A. J. Ford on December 23, 1878. She then married Silas Henry Presley on February 26, 1888. Both marriages took place in Cherokee County, Texas.

I think we have a different family. Lydia Presley (don't know maiden name) or husbands first name, was born about 1804. My andrew was born in 1831 and died in 1893. His siblings were JOhn, Martha, Mary. Andrew married Mary Runnels in 1856 in Greene co. Tennessee.

This is news!!! I didn't know they lived in TN always thought they stayed around Russell Cty. VA. James and Lydia are my g-grandparents. Their son Andrew Jackson married 3 times and third time was to my grandma Serelda Thompson.... I have info on Presleys back to 1700's but I have nothing on Serelda!!!! Can you help I know she died in 1919 in Russell Cty VA. And I have her siblings names but don't know her parents....etc! Write me back I'll share what I have been doing this on and off for last 5-7 years!!!!

Wow!! Could it be!!

My great-grandfather was William Presley. He told his wife and family that he was born in Tennessee in 1855. He ended up in Colorado, coming from Texas on a cattle drive up the Goodnight Trail. He worked for many years on the Butler's Heirs ranch on the Huerfano River. He married Emma Muehlebach Lyons in 1885. He died in 1913. To our knowledge, he never mentioned anything more about his family. He evidently never went to visit them, nor is there any mention of his family coming to visit Colorado.

Any clue what happened to George and Debra's son William?

Hello, all I have is the names of your David's parents. David is a brother to my ggg grandma Rebecca. The earliest I have found Thomas is on the 1840 Smith Co, TN census. I have no idea as to his or Mary's folks names. There a few other Presleys or variations of this name on the 1830/1840 Smith CO TN census. They were both born in NC.

Looking for information on Levi PRESLAR / PRESLEY listed in the 1840 census of Anson Co, NC on SHT 48. Who is his father? What happened to him after 1840 and who are his children? He would have been born between 1810 and 1820. From the 1830 and 1840 censuses, it appears that his father could be Stephen PRESLAR.

There are two Levi PRESLARs. The one on SHT 63 was born around 1800 and is evidently the same as the Levi PRESLEY in the 1850 census of Jackson Co, TN. He is also listed in the 1830 census of Anson Co, NC.

The reason why I am interested in the Levi PRESLARs / PRESLEYs listed in Anson Co, NC is that I am looking for the father of Levi PRESSLEY b. 1832 either GA or NC. The name Levi appears and the NC references seem to point back to this PRESLAR family in Anson Co, NC.

The first record I have of my Levi PRESSLEY is his marriage to Margaret Emily RENFRO on 26 Jun 1859, Rankin Co, MS. I have not been able to locate him in the 1850 census. Although the 1860 and 1870 censuses give his place of birth as GA, the 1870 census and most of the census records of his children indicate he was born in NC.

It is clear that he is not a son of Levi PRESLAR, who was born around 1800; but I have not ruled out the other Levi b. 1810/1820.

It looks likely that my Levi PRESSLEY could be connected with the Anson Co, NC PRESLAR / PRESLEY family, but I am not positive how.

James A. White, date of birth approximately Dec. 20, 1859. birthplace unknown m Mary Ann Presley born approximately 1861 married in Hawkins County, TN Oct. 3rd, 1881. Searching for any information their children born. One was Peggy Jane White born Around May 23, 1887 in TN. Two other children unknown. Peggy Jane was my Grandmother and the story is told that Mary Ann died when my Grandmother was very young.

James A. (Alford) or (Alfred) White later married Della T. White maiden name unknown.

Any information on this family would be appreciated.

Searching for any possible verification on the parents of my ggrandfather, James Madison Mallory (1859-1926) who married Nancy Maryette Gray 1879, Howard Co,. MO. Have found sources indicating his parents were John Mallory and Priscilla Presley or Pressley, but have been able to find no leads toward any documentation. John and Priscilla were supposedly both born in TN, and my grandfather (born in MO) used to say his people were from there, but I have no idea where James Madison was born or died.
