It is of interest that Ancestry.com points out that Elvis' maternal great grandparents are cousins, but fails to even show his paternal grand and great grandfathers. That's because they are one and the same. His great grandfather married his own daughter (Rosella Presley) and their offspring is Jesse Dunnan McClowell Presley, Elvis' father. So Elvis' paternal grandfather and great grandfather are the same man, Dunnan Presley, Jr.
Elvis is not responsible for the sins of his ancestors. We all have ancestors we'd rather not claim.
Since this is a known fact of his heritage, why not include it? It just makes the man that much more interesting.
They should also point out (and show) that he is a cousin to James Earl Carter, former President of the United States.

I can Help on alot of this info. Rosella Presley never married and never told any one of her children (She Had Nine)who there fathers were. But Just lately I have heard another story that she did marry but she married in the family to a John Presley. Which I do not think this is so. But what was in a booklet done on Elvis's Presley ancestors said that this gr? grandmother's maiden name was Presley, and that she had ten children, but never married. If that is true, then there would be no known gr? grandfather.
