It is of interest that Ancestry.com points out that Elvis' maternal great grandparents are cousins, but fails to even show his paternal grand and great grandfathers. That's because they are one and the same. His great grandfather married his own daughter (Rosella
Presley) and their offspring is Jesse Dunnan McClowell
Presley, Elvis' father. So Elvis' paternal grandfather and great grandfather are the same man, Dunnan
Presley, Jr.
Elvis is not responsible for the sins of his ancestors. We all have ancestors we'd rather not claim.
Since this is a known fact of his heritage, why not include it? It just makes the man that much more interesting.
They should also point out (and show) that he is a cousin to James Earl
Carter, former
President of the United States.
