That's correct - there is no known great grandfather to Elvis, ie: Jessie D. Presley's biological father. With that said, it means there exist a lineage that is at this time still unknown re: Elvis Presley. I can assume that a sample of his authentic DNA could shed some light, as well as clear up some misconceptions maybe?

Speaking of Elvis's Gr Grandfather...has anyone ever saw a McClowell family forum page where someone can ask questions on his past that someone has worked on for the McClowell Family who is suppost to have been his Gr Grand Fathers last name??....

I've never seen a web site for this line of the family???

It was my impression that the person who 'originally' listed Rosella's father as her husband, just got a bit confused in putting the person where he belonged. The story went that Rosella did not marry, but had several chilcren, of unknown father or fathers, as the case may be. But saying she married her father, I would guess, is simply confused posting of info.

I know this is done at times. A cousin from another line, took my information and listed my grandmother as both the wife and daughter of the same person, her father. [All you had to do was look at his date of death [when she was four years old] to know she couldn't have married him. She had a known [documented] mother and father, and she definitely wasn't married to her father.

Posting mistakes can really mess up the facts at times.

Elvis's father is not Jesse D Presley, his father's name is Vernon Presley. Vernon's parents are Jesse D and Minnie Mae Hood Presley

Hello...I have put this part of my research for last,Presley's. Maybe by now someone has more answers than I have been able to find.
My ggrand father's(John Nathaiel Inlow) mother Louisa Unknown abt 1845 Tn. married John Thomas Rice Inlow, he died. His wife,Louisa Inlow was a widow on the Jun 1880 Census,Washington Twn,Independence Co.,Ark.(*note that Dunnan Presley abt.1827 Widower,living close by with the Pierce family)
I recieved an email years ago abt that I should check the Elvis Presley's family tree and I might be surprised. This person gave me the wedding date of Dunnan Presley and Louisa Unknown Inlow,5 Aug 1880, said it was in a book. I did not follow up on that and have no idea where to find this record now. At the time of this marriage Louisa would be 37 and old enough to have children. I find her again on the 1910 Census, Grand Praire,Dallas Co.,TX. Living with her son and family,she is now calling herself Parthena Presley. The story is she is Indian? I have Indian decent through my mothers side, the Inlow/Enlow/Enloe.
I would certainly appreciate any info on this Dunnan 1827, and the record of thier marriage. Thanks kat thayer
