My gr-gr-grandfather was Bartlett Pannell and was in Miss in 1845 then migrated to Ark by 1861. He was probably living in Howard Co Ar at the time of his death, but at least 3 of his children moved to Ok. including my gr grandmother. I would be glad to find out more about the Pannell's.

I was reading your post on the Pannell family. This post is directed to all who are researching the Pannell name. I have heard there were 5 brothers who came to MS from South Carolina and settled in Ms. Some of them moved on to other states. I am looking for information on the parents and sibblins of W.M. (Walter Minor Pannell) Some called him John. I am trying to link up some relatives in MS and believe they may be off spring of one of the brothers. If any of you would like to exchange names and dates maybe we can eventualy link some together. My e-mail is pgonz10088@aol.com Thanks.

I am researching Pannell - from South Carolina and Georgia - my great-grandfather was Dolphus Lambert "Bud" Pannell and his fater was Joseph M. Pannell born Sept 1859 in GA, both parents born in S.C. His father MAY have been James M. Pannell but I'm not sure of the line. Do you have info that may be useful. I'm happy to share what I have.

My Pannell ancestors are from Georgia - but birthplace of parents is S.C. Joseph Pannell was born Sept. 1859 in GA - parents born SC - I have compiled a list that appear to be brothers - some given names show up across the lines that are not that common - such as Berry, Elijah and Wiley but I haven't been able to prove the line. Any info is great - and I'm glad to share my stuff.

My PANNELL line appears to have come from South Carolina and into Georgia but I can't seem to find much before Sept 1859, when my Great-great grandfather Joseph PANNELL was born in GA. I'll be happy to share what I have found - appears to be a group of brothers (or maybe cousins?) because there are some given names across the lines that are unusual - Elijah, Wiley, Berry. Anyway - contact me if you get the chance.

I have PANNELLs in my family line - from Georgia, and South Carolina before that. Appears to be a group of brothers or cousins - a lot of overlap of unusual names like Berry and Wiley and Elijah - but I can't prove the lines or the link with my Gr. grandfather Joseph PANNELL (b. sept. 1859 in GA - parents born SC). Any info welcome and I'm happy to share mine.
