Martin, I have also drawn a bit of a blank as far as Blanche is concerned, There is a photo of her in the album as a small child, but she seems to have disappeared between the census returns, I suspect that she died in childhood, but cannot find a death cert. I have some photos in the album that I think may be of Kate and other Wild members. I am not a full subscriber to ancestry. If you want to give me your email I will send the digital photos I have taken from the album.

Hi Angela, I am one of Kate Noble's grandsons. (Kate married Frank Wild my father's father) and have been researching the family tree for a little while. The person I am trying to trace the history of is Blanche for whom I have not yet been able to find any further information at all as yet. There is also a potential line of descent that may eventually lead to New Zealand where one of my sisters now lives and who is in contact with someone who believes they may also have a line of descent from JSN but cannot tie in the detail. Do you have any info that may shed some light

Francis Noble Loyalist

I am looking for children of Francis Noble. I have a Francis Noble in Chautauqua, NY in the 1820 census records and I believe he may have a daughter, Lydia b. 1784. She married Eli Belknap. I believe she was born in Nova Scotia. There was a Francis there in 1778 and was gone by 1794. Francis was a Loyalist and was banished to St Johns, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia from Pittsfield, MA.

Early New Brunswick probate records, 1785-1835 By R. Wallace Hale page 492: States the Francis Noble has left the country by 1 May 1794

I cant confirm that Francis was Lydia's father. I think there is also a son Ande b. 1790. Any help would be great!

Thanks Ryan

Hi Sharon

Have just found your message about Edmund Moss Noble. I
think I can help, though I came across Edmund from the other direction, while tracing a line down from one of the sons of my ancestors George and Dorothy Noble of Darlington, County Durham, England. Briefly, the line goes like this...

1) George R Noble married Dorothy
2) William Noble (born 1818 Darlington) married Margaret
3) Edmund Noble (born 1853 in France)..married Martha.
4) Edmund M Noble (born 1889 NJ).

William and Margaret and family moved to the US sometime in the 1860s.

Will be happy to fill you in further if you can contact me at MarkTS@cox.net

Kind regards
Mark
I am trying like mad to find information based on other information I have.

My husbands great-grandfather was Fred Ogle who was born Dec 3rd of 1890 and died Feb 10th 1936 while surving time in prison. According to his death record he was born in Indiana to a John Ogle & Jennie Noble.

I can not for the life of me find any information on John or Jennie. I have no idea if they were ever married, when/where they were born or when/where they died.

According to the 1920 census while Fred was in prison, it states his parents were both born in Indiana.

Other information that might help is that Fred Ogle had a son named Ralph Merideth Ogle prior to his incarceration.

If anyone has any information on this particular Jennie Noble I would greatly appreciate it.

Michelle,
I am currently travelling away from Sydney, my home town, and all my records. I can get some info to you when I am home in late September. Where are you located and how do you trace your ancestry back to George Noble and Jane Wilson. My connection is through my wife. George Noble was my wife's ggg grandfather. Tracing backwards her mother is Betty Noble, grandfather David Noble, g-grandfather George Noble, g-g grandfather Thomas Noble (first to come to Australia) and his father George (married to Jane) is g-g-g grandfather. I can get dates etc when I am back in Sydney.
Regards, Colin Smith (direct email csmith@bigpond.net.au)

I don't know if this would be of any help but I have a (unknown) Cotton daughter born about 1849 who married an "Andy Noble" and is only known to me as "Mrs. Andy Cotton Noble". I have not found census records for this family in Ontario.
She was one of eight children of Thomas & Lydia Cotton both born in Ireland who lived in Mulmur / Mono townships in Dufferin (later Simcoe) county in Ontario.
Family appears in several census records however I have not found birth, marriage or death records.
My line is through a sister, Jane Cotton who married William McNabb.

I am trying to find any information on my husband's grandfather as he died at the age of 33. We know very little about him. His name on the headstone is EDMOND MOSS NOBLE but the spelling on the register for the cemetery is EDMUND. He was born in 1899. Died on February 22, 1922 in some kind of railroad accident. He was employed with the railroad. He was married to CORA SMITH and they resided in MEADVILLE, PA.His son, ARNOLD E. NOBLE was born on May 23, 1915. Edmond had a brother named ALFRED NOBLE who died while living in CORTLAND, NY. Edmond's widow then married a gentleman with the last name of CHAMBERS.He died in 1930. All three of them are buried in Greendale Cemetery in Meadville, PA. After mr. Chamber's death, Cora married a gentleman with the surname of FLICKINGER. If you have any information on this family line, I would appreciate you contacting me. Thanks so very much. Sharon

Hello Family,

My name is Michelle as you can see and my father's name was Floyd Lee Noble, yet I never met any of his family in Mississippi. I live in St. Louis, Missouri and was told when I was in Louisiana that my dad was from Nagodoches, I believe Mississippi. I was looking at your picture and you favor my brother Michael. Maybe we can help each other out with information we gather for our family. Hope you have a nice day.

Michelle

Scotland - Possible connection between Nobles and Ramsays

Trying to establish ancestry of G-GF James Deglish Ramsay who immigrated to Texas in about 1866. Family member is said to have visited cousin - last name Nobel - Noble ? - in Edinburg during or after WWII - the address scribbled down was 14 crescent, Edinburg 4, Scotland - another name scribbled down was Blinkbonny - if anyone has any information our family would appreciate it greatly - there are so many James in Scottish families - also we have several possible birthdates for James which has made it even more difficult to trace him. Thanks, Catherine

When were your Nathans born? I have a Nathan Noble in my tree- born in Buffalo, NY in about 1845- his sister Eleanor b. about 1844, was my gg gmo. I think there was another sister named Clara, b. about 1847, but I know nothing else about the family. I believe Nathan's wife was Amelia and I think he had two children, Charles b. about 1870 and Lillie, b. about 1872. According to the census, he lived in Buffalo, NY until at least 1910.
Let me know if this sounds possible.
