What I am reading is that you are only getting replies to the name Noble. I have a ggrandfather, William Voiles (Voyle and Voiles) that met and married an indian named Betsy. He named her Trail. Cherokee did not have Indian Princess' and if you ask help from any of them they are going to treat you like a "wanna be". Dr. Wm (herb dr learned from the Indians) was 17, Betsy was 15 and a pure-breed Cherokke. Dr. Wm was half-breed. They had two sons. They moved from Kentucky to N.C. where Trail left just before the Trail of Tears so that she would not be forced to go and headed for Florida. I have lost the trail there. If this might be your family I am at Bettybillquayle@cs.com.

Do you know who Elizabeth Noble married???

My gr. gr. gr. grandmother's name was Elizabeth Noble Sherman also seen as Betsy, and would have been born around that time. She married a Heath possibly Joshua or Zaddock??? If anyone could help me here I'd appreciate it. Their daughter Diana or Diane or Dana Heath was born in New York and later married William R. Sherman.

Leah Eves married Charles Edward Noble (d:1926)

Leah Eves was married to Charles Edward Noble (he may have originally been from Ohio, but lived in the Huntington, WV area as an adult), born abt. 1890, died Dec 4, 1927. When he died, Charles had two brothers, listed as Virgil Noble and LENoblele. A parent was listed as LAA. Noble. The story I have heard is that Charles' mother was a native american "princess", possibly Cherokee.
